These matters are also known as hit and run claims and occur when another motor vehicle collides into your motor vehicle or the motor vehicle you were traveling in and then drove off. One can also claim if an unidentified motor vehicle caused the accident without colliding with your motor vehicle. Pedestrians can also claim if they were run over by an unknown motor vehicle where the details of the vehicle, owner or driver cannot be established. These claims must be lodged with the road accident fund offices within two years from the date of accident.
